Nicotine-resin complex.
Aid in smoking cessation.
Pregnancy & lactation.
Active peptic ulcer diseases. Severe angina pectoris. Recent Ml. Oesophagitis. Temporomandibular joint disease.
Most frequent: Dizziness, headache, nausea, Gl discomfort, hiccups, jaw-muscle ache, sore mouth or throat. Maintained nicotine dependence after smoking cessation. Less frequent: Rapid or irregular heartbeat, erythema, urticaria. Rare: reversible atrial fibrillation.

Nicotine.
Treatment of nicotine dependence, as an aid to smoking cessation.
Non-smokers, childn & occasional smokers. Pregnant & breastfeeding women, acute Ml, unstable or worsening angina pectoris, severe cardiac arrhythmias, recent CVA, diseases of the skin which may complicate patch therapy.
Hypertension, stable angina pectoris, CV disease, occlusive peripheral arterial disease, heart failure, hyperthyroidism or diabetes mellitus, peptic ulcer, renal or hepatic impairment. Persistent skin reaction to the patch.
W/drawal symptoms w/ smoking cessation. Frequently: Reaction at application site (usually erythema or pruritus), headache, cold & flu-like symptoms, insomnia, nausea, myalgia & dizziness. Less common: BP changes, other CNS effects & Gl disturbances. Isolated cases of angioneurotic oeddema, urticaria & dyspnoea.
